One new company. One product. Everyone benefits, even the sheep. Debuting last month, the company Sheep Inc. is selling unisex cashwool sweaters while giving back to the environment.
While the sweaters are not cheap ($234 to be exact), the founders hope they are targeting anyone and everyone. This, in turn, will help spread their message of sustainability. When one buys a sweater, they are also “adopting” the sheep that provided its wool.
Consumers can keep tabs on everything their sheep is doing over in New Zealand. If that was not cool enough, Sheep Inc. also spends 5% of its revenue directly on biodiversity projects that offset their carbon footprint. They are labeling themselves as the “first carbon-negative fashion brand”.
As to whether they will be releasing other products, Sheep Inc.’s founders claim they have no current plans to expand their product line. They simply want to deliver “one amazing product” and hope other companies can get baaa-hind their carbon-negative example.
