April 20th is a special day for the long list of Americans who celebrate. And this year, that list included Carl’s Jr., which sold a CBD specialty called the Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight at its Denver branch.
The burger, available for just the one day (for now) included all the fixin’s of a typical spicy burger (pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, etc.) with a CBD-infused sauce. The “Santa Fe” sauce recipe includes 5 mg of CBD, perfect for anyone hoping to feel the soothing benefits of cannabidiol.
On the surface, it appears to be a marketing trick – and a
pretty good one, at that. But Carl’s Jr. will be closely monitoring the demand
for the Rocky Mountain High, with hopes of potentially making it a menu staple
someday.
So if you can’t make it out to Denver for 4/20, there’s still hope that you’ll
someday get to try the burger for yourself.
