Facebook is testing a new project that brings the popular social networking site to work – you know, in a way that won’t have your boss yell at you. The new Facebook at Work app is going through testing with an undisclosed list of companies. As of now, there is no timetable for release to the general public after this trial run. As a company split into two components – Account and Creative – as well as split into two floors of one building, this new tool sounds insanely useful, especially with the familiar layout of Facebook. Gathering everyone involved on specific projects into online groups would optimize time spent on projects and cut down on miscommunication. While platforms for this sole purpose already exist, having a Facebook-designed experience is bound to attract a large audience.
