Hershey Shockingly Changes Its Iconic Bar Design

For the first time since its release in 1900 (119 years ago!), the Hershey Bar is getting a new look. For a limited time only, the classic treat will be re-designed with emojis on each brick of chocolate, instead of the brand logo.

There will be 25 emojis used in all, which means consumers will need to make multiple purchases if they want to find every one. The symbols will include the smile emoji, the ghost emoji, and even the – well, less-than-appetizing one.

It seems like a pretty smart partnership. If you’re going to adapt your brand to the 21st Century, you might as well go all out by theming it digitally.

Not a fan of the redesign? No worries – your favorite candy bar will be back to its original look before too long!
