So, Pepsi Max did something cool and creative to ring in twenty-fifteen. They filled a room with 2014 Ping-Pong balls and mousetraps, releasing a 2015th to set off a chain reaction and, figuratively, introduce the New Year. The video was created to keep Pepsi in consumers’ minds in a low-key, fun way – but more than that, the video was created because it’s cool. It’s Ping-Pong ball palooza. They’re everywhere, set off by the initial explosion and transitioning through all sorts of smoke, lighting, and colors. While it may not be the sort of feat that warrants massive congratulations (as shown by the production crew at the end), it does remind us that our actions (no matter how small), once set in motion, have an impact on the rest of our year. Resolve to be better – or at least try for 3 days like everyone else.
