We love learning how artists work and we were fascinated to hear Metallica’s guitarist, Kirk Hammett uses his iPhone to capture musical riffs. It comes as no surprise that the device we all use for almost everything has become part of the creative process. Especially now that Burberry has used iPhones to shoot their fashion shows or that Modern Family shot an entire episode on one. The one thing to remember when using this miracle device is to back it up. It seems, Hammett lost his phone and, with it, over 250 riffs slated for Metallica’s next album.
