For those who love their iPads and Microsoft Office, it seemed life would never be complete until now. Last week Microsoft finally abandoned its “Windows First” policy and released Office for iPad. It seems Microsoft has realized that the great majority of devices sold today (and in the future) will not have Windows installed on them, so why not allow the billion+ global Microsoft users the freedom to enjoy Office on all their devices? Sounds too good to be true? Well every dream comes at a cost. You can download the apps for free, but if you want to use them, you need a subscription to Office 365. The home version is $99.99 per year, or $9.99 per month. Office 365 works like a cloud system where up-to-date documents and formatting is maintained across all devices: PC, Mac, tablet and phone. The apps and system seem to have been well received. Good news for tablet users the globe over.
