Graffiti. Mostly a vulgar eye sore, sometimes brilliant. Yesterday I had a laugh after seeing a poster for Mad Men featuring Don Draper with a graffiti quote saying: “I’ll work for you soon enough, Peggy Olden”. Or in Greece last summer: “Wanted: Greek Prime Minister. No qualifications necessary. Only well connected. Five-star salary. Payable offshore. Tax-free. Apply on line.” In São Paulo, I saw some of the most incredible graffiti illustrations I’ve ever seen. Graffiti, I hate it, I love it.
