Serena Williams is known for her incredible talent and the dedication she has put forth with the game of tennis. She has been a longstanding pillar of top performance in the tennis community. In her personal life, she is seemingly crushing it there too.
She made headlines when she said she craved Italian food, so her husband took her to Italy. But, not every aspect is perfectly charmed, she recently took to twitter to debrief on some grievances she had with how the drug-testing operations worked in the sport.
She posted a series of tweets that she believes that her random (yet frequent) drug testing is the result of discrimination. She wrote, “It’s that time of the day to get ‘randomly’ drug tested and only test Serena,” the star athlete tweeted Tuesday night. “Out of all the players it’s been proven I’m the one getting tested the most. Discrimination? I think so.”
She continue to share that regardless of this suspect testing, she was excited to carry on a play a mean – and clean game. “Tennis has given me so much. It’s such an amazing sport. I feel like equality, that’s all I’ve been preaching, it’s all about equality”.
