Would you ever buy a cup of coffee from KFC? If you answered this question ‘Yes’, please skip to the last sentence of this rant. Like most people, ordering coffee from KFC is below your last resort. They may have the best coffee in the world, however, ordering coffee from a fast food chain that specializes in fried chicken is fundamentally wrong. And now, it seems, to boost their lackluster coffee sales, KFC has introduced the “Scoffee Cup” – an edible coffee cup made of biscuit, wrapped in sugar paper, and lined with heat resistant white chocolate. Ok, sure, we get the novelty of the edible coffee cup. And you better believe if Starbucks were coming out with the same thing, this blog post would be starkly different. But sometimes you just gotta stick to what you know and, for KFC, it’s not coffee or edible coffee paraphernalia. So if you’re considering a cup of coffee from KFC… Don’t.
