Starbucks is clarifying its support of Black Lives Matter with the release of a shirt designed by some of its staffers that includes the name of the movement. “We see you. We hear you. Black Lives Matter. That is a fact and will never change,” the company said in a letter from three company executives. As soon as the BLM clothing ban become public knowledge, the backlash against the coffee conglomerate poured in. Not only did Starbucks completely change its previous stance, it is encouraging its employees to wear the t-shirts to work. The shirt design included a variety of phrases including “Black Lives Matter,” “No Justice, No Peace,” and “Everyone vs. Racism”.
