There is something fascinating about stories that were lost and then found. The new movie, The End of the Tour, is based on the lost tape-recordings of Rolling Stone magazine journalist, David Lipsly and the acclaimed author of the 1996 novel, Infinite Jest, David Foster Wallace. The five-days of taped conversation made in 1996 was to become a feature for Rolling Stone, but ended up being scrapped. As the five days go on, a tenuous yet intense relationship develops between Lipsly (Jesse Eisenberg) and Wallace (Jason Segel). The two men never met again and Wallace ended his own life in 2008, but the fascinating interview lives on. With a 92 on Rotten Tomatoes, End of the Tour is definitely worth checking out.
