The Milk* Monday Morning Super Bowl Ad Debrief

If we noticed any theme in last night’s Super Bowl ads, it’s that advertisers seem more willing to take risks and have fun. We loved the Doritos ad where the baby in the ultrasound wanted his dad’s Doritos. It was a little weird, but we thought the dachshund hotdogs running to the Heinz Ketchup was beautifully executed. We loved the playful way T-Mobil pushed back on Verizon using 2015’s biggest mistake maker, Steve Harvey, and we also got a kick out of Drake being nonplussed by marketing directors changing the words to Hotline Bling. Who did love Bud’s ‪#‎GiveADamn‬‬ with Helen Mirren and their ‪#‎NotBackingDown‬‬ ad? Both spots delivered simple frank messages in Bud’s frank style. We thought Jeep put forward some pretty beautiful spots and Acura NSX really hit the mark with “What he said”. What’s up for 2016? More fun in advertising!
