The moment we’ve all been waiting for. The vault of wonder. The newest kid on the streaming block. Disney+ has made its debut, surpassing 10 million subscribers on just the first day.
Disney’s new streaming service provides more competition to players such as Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. However, amidst the hype, Disney has faced some technical difficulties. On the day it launched, many users were unable to log in or play movies. Fast forward a few days, and many people had their accounts hacked, stolen and sold on the dark web. Disney denies a security breach on its end, which would imply the details were stolen in other ways such as through spyware on devices.
Despite the hiccups, there is still a lot of excitement around the new platform. It appeals to a wide variety of generations and offers users a chance to watch many classic shows and movies they have loved for so long. For only $6.99 a month, this could be the next holiday gift everyone is asking for.
