Airbnb fanatics, get ready for the ultimate Airbnb dream! Airbnb has rapidly become the “IT” thing to do when making travel arrangements. Although we all have our own ideas at what constitutes as a good Airbnb stay, our fiercely visionary CEO, Joseph Sequenzia, defines the ultimate Airbnb stay as “a combination of childhood nostalgia and a chic modern hotel hidden away in a remote area”. Sequenzia unknowingly described Aibek Almassov’s creation “Tree in the House”. Almassov, of A. Masow Architects, created “Tree in the House” in 2013, which is a glass tube structure that surrounds a tall tree in the mountain forests of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The modern-take on a classic treehouse consists of glass walls, wood floors, and four panel cabins sitting on top of one another. The architectural beauty almost did not come to fruition until a glass and panel manufacturer expressed interest after an initial investor fell through. Thankfully this manufacturer saw the potential in “Tree in the House” and we have a little slice of paradise to dream about!
