Water Bottle is the Must-Have Accessory

The next big accessory? You can drink from it, reuse it a thousand times, and prices can range anywhere from $10 to $75. That’s right, we’re talking about a water bottle.

In a world placing more and more emphasis on sustainability, it’s looked down upon when one has a plastic water bottle. More people are beginning to buy reusable bottles and carry them everywhere, not just to the gym.

The WSJ sites a study in which the NPD Group found that about 105 million water bottles were sold in the U.S. between June 2018 and June 2019. That’s a ratio of about one to three for bottles to Americans. It seems what once may have been an overlooked object is now becoming a status symbol.

Some names have risen to the top and are well-recognized by all, including S’well, Hydro Flask, and CamelBak. Other brands not originally in this industry have begun creating partnerships to produce water bottles. Fashion labels such as Prada and Supreme are two notable names who have joined in on the new accessory hype and created their own luxury water bottles.

In a growing eco-friendly world, it is evident water bottles are not going away any time soon. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what brands do to try and stay at the top of the league.
